Delete your Porch account

You can delete your Porch account at any time, and you never need to contact us to do it. Deletion happens in your account settings, where we'll show you exactly what it means for your family, your communities, and your credits before anything changes.

If you can sign in

Go to Settings → Security and privacy → Delete account. You'll see a plain-language summary, confirm it's you, and your account is turned off right away.

If you can't sign in

Enter your email address and we'll send you a secure link to finish deleting your account.

What happens when you delete

Right away. Your account is turned off. You're signed out, you stop receiving Porch email, and your neighbors no longer see you as available to help.

For seven days. Nothing is erased yet. You can cancel from the link in your confirmation email and everything comes back exactly as it was.

After seven days. Your name, photo, contact details, and personal profile are permanently deleted. Messages and comments you wrote stay in their conversations so they still make sense, but they're no longer attributed to you.

Your family. If another adult is in your family, the family continues with them. If you're the only adult, the family — including children and pet profiles, photos, and caregiver notes — is deleted.

Communities you own. Ownership passes to another admin. If there are no other admins, the community gets 30 days for a member to step in as owner before it closes for good.
